Great, you made a flash version of this game and put it on newgrounds. The website virtualnes.com also has this game using java. I don't really see how putting up the exact same game really shows any talent or anything.

The story seems to start randomly, so you really need to develop the back story a little more. Why does Shadow want the chaos emeralds? Why is he evil? Why is Rouge working for Eggman? You also really need more music for a lot of the scenes. It seems strange that the scenes you do use music for use Zelda and Metroid music. Sonic has a lot of good music and it's very easy to get. Try using some of that.

Besides what everyone else has mentioned, I think you should know that your score does not reset every time you die. It just continues from what you already had when you restart. It might also be nice if you could run off the screen horizontally and appear on the other side like you do in the old Mario games.

This game is just perfect and it must have taken a lot of work to make. The incredible amount of shine sprites to earn creates a huge replay value. The attention to detail was great too. You captured the exact tone that signs and toads had in Super Mario 64 and gave them new interesting things to say. I'm glad that you took the time to make Luigi different than Mario by giving him a better jumping ability and different sound effects (though a few of them are still Mario's). The music choices for this game were excellent as well. I found this game to be harder than a Mario game usually is but not too bad (except for the final shine sprite mission). If by any chance you need another game to make; I'm sure you could make a really good Crash Bandicoot game, since there aren't any real good ones online.

you've got the platforming part down, but while I was playing, there was no score or anything explaining WHY I was trying to collect the fire things. There also needs to be some kind of storyline explaining this shroom guy's purpose. It would also help if you explained the controls at the beginning because most people won't stick around to figure them out.

The beginning was good, but it started to get a little too long. Suspense is good to establish the story but after a while people start to lose interest. When Goku said that he hadn't had a good fight since Kid Buu, that's not true. He trained and fought Uub at the beginning of Dragonball GT and Omega Shenron at the end. Those were definitely intense battles. Also, why does Vegeta say "LOL"? He never says anything like that in the tv show and he doesn't seem at all like the kind of person who would say that. One more thing, the music at the end of the video doesn't end when the video loops back to the beginning. This definitely looks like it will be an interesting video if there is more action in it.

The animation was fluid and went perfectly with the song. The tandem bike just made my day too :)
